CH17:A Peek

   "Minda."

   "Yes, Master?" I scoweled. I hated being his prisoner.

   "What has happened to the sun?" His red eyes fell upon me. Tiny me.

   "I can't say that I know." I was truely puzzled with it myself.

   "The constant war with the humans has been a losing one. Mainly because we can only show ourselves at twilight. If we came out when they were busy trying to keep the demons of the underworld at bay, we might have a chance. We could win." A smirk grew on his dark purple lips.

   "Very wise, Master." If I didn't call him that foel name he would have banished me like the others. Yikes.

   "You know what to do, Minda."

   "Shall I go summon the shadow beasts?"

   "You shall." His yellow teeth showed under the lips.

   "As you wish, Master." I floated out through the open door. Glad to be out of that room, I turned to the central hall and sounded the alarm.
