Wizard Key

"

A knock on the door came forth. I flung it open with a flick of my wrist. One last check on the young wizards told me they wouldn't kill each other, letting me give my attention to the one who interupted my class. I turned to see a messenger garbed in red. Royal. Great. Probably some complaint about Devil's Cave again.

"King Edward has summoned you." The stout man turned to walk away. His feet lost the ground and twisted back to face me. Not on his will but rather by mine. Sweat broke on his brow.

"Why?" Plain and simple. It should get me my answer.

"His Majesty hasn't informed me of that information, Wizard Key." The poor man was fighting his fright. I could see it in his eyes.

I set him down and waved my hand in dismissle. "I will get to him when I have time."

"He said this was an emergency on level four, sir."

I glared at him. "After my class is done."

"Now!" That must have taken all of his courage because he melted in the spot. Tears sprouted in his eyes as if he had just done something unspeakable.

And in my eyes, he had. My voice climbed. "You dare command the Head Wizard? You are highly mistaken if you think you can over rule me, lowly messenger!" My arm flew out dramaticly and the young man was hit by and unseen force. He hit the wall at an impossible speed and fell the the stone landing. Blood oozed out of the back of his head. The dead eyes stared up to the ceiling above. The commotion around me stopped as my students stopped to watch the show. "Get back to work, all of you. Fletcher, watch over the class in my absence." I stormed out of the room, slamming the wooden door behind me.
