love struck.

love struck.

A Poem by Cynthia Gelinas
"

reallyyyy old poem I found of mine. haha I was so corny

"

And we’ll sing a love struck lullaby
To the rhythm of our intertwined hearts
And if it fails to see us through
At least I had the chance to sing with you
So take these words I wrote with love
And read them over and over again
Because it’s times like these that I look at you
And pray to God it’s never over

And we’ll dance to a love struck melody
To the flicker in each other’s eyes
And if it fails to see us through
At least I had the chance to dance with you
So take my hand this one last time
And spin me round this hardwood floor
Because I want to remember you holding me close
And whispering softly, “I love you more”

And we’ll lie beneath this velvet sky
To the gently swaying midnight breeze
And if it fails to see us though
At least I had the chance to spend a night with you
So I’ll wish on every passing star
And cross my fingers tight
Because all I want is to be in your arms
And never lose the moment we made tonight

And we’ll take a chance at love together
To see what’s out there for us
And if it fails to see us through
At least I had the chance to love you
So I’ll tell you the words I never spoke
And make sure you hear them enough
Because I want you to know I mean every word
To last through every broken verse
And every strangled line
Cause when I look at you
I see my forever
