Talent

Talent

A Poem by Cynthia
"

Everyone has one :)

"
Talent is what everyone has,
but who can truly use the power,
of that precious talent you own?
There's a talent hidden in everyone,
but who can unearth it?
From the deepest of your soul?

The power of the talented,
don't underestimate the power,
cause the talent is which
saves them when they're lost,
when they're being ignored,
respect what they own, what they have,
cause talent is precious and rare.

Talents are what everyone has,
it only depends how you dig it,
from the deepest in your soul,
all starting from the moment,
you plan to work, to use what you've,
the talent that you own.

Author's Note

Cynthia
Everyone have a talent,thats what I believe.
However, parents in HK often said their kids are dump/talentless, which i totally disagree, I mean, thats discouraging the kids! parents are suppose to help them! Not spoil their lives!
Well, I don't know what brings me to this, maybe after hearing my classmates being called dump by their parents? Yeah, thats a big possibility :)
Its a rough draft...

yep, I agree on this. Everyone has a talent. I hate when parents do that.. parents can't control everything on their child's life. Eventually they will break free. But its a shame when a person's talent goes to waste...
Love this poem! =D Great write.

Definite truth in your poem. Just echoing what Emma said about word(s) maybe omitted in the second to last line. Well done otherwise!

The truth is told here. I also think everyone has a talent. Whether it's small or big, it's something that will give help and beautify the world. Great write, loved it :)

You think strongly, you feel deeply, such wonderful traits to have. This is a very empathic poem, one to remember, one to use as a guide through life because perhaps the best talent is to see goodness and potential in others ..

Not sure about the following, have you omitted a word or two, '.. you plan to work, to use what you've, ??? the talent that you own.'

yes Cynthia...Everyone HAS a talent indeed. Some need to be pushed in to finding it, others it just comes naturally.
Do you mean 'dumb' in your authors note ?
I would also say 'everyone HAS a talent' rather than 'have'...(hope you don't mind me saying this).
You have obviously put a lot of thought in to your poem.
Well done Cynthia..

This is too true. Everyone has a hidden talent its just tragic how society and its social constructions force us to bury these talents unless that talent is basketball or singing. Many children are forced to deny who they areso that they can fit into society and other never have the chance to figure out their talent because they are so focused on surviving. I enjoyed this poem and its truthfullness. Well written.

Agree with you on this point, that's true that everyone has a talent. I think parents should support their children if they have their talent, it's really a pity when a person can't express their talent. Children needs encouragement from their parents. Parents can't control on their children's life, they have a free to choose their dream. I believe this point as you believe. That is an inspiring work. Really excellent work.
