Did You?

Did You?

A Poem by Cynthia

I tried to tell you the truth,
how it torn my heart,
and broke it in little pieces.
You stepped on it hardly,
and I screamed,
I yelled sharp,
my voice torn already,
but you didn't care,
you care about yourself,
you care what's good for you,
you never remember me,
did you?

I found hard to go away,
caused you're always the one,
who I supposed to love,
while I was the one,
who you should love,
you ignored the truth,
left me torn,
left me crying,
you left me,
did you?

I forgot when you went away,
all I remembered was the pain,
how painful was it when you went away,
how it hurt me, so much,
that I hated it much as well,
you did know what you're doing,
did you?

Did you know you  hurt me?
Did you?

Author's Note

Cynthia
Well, another pop in head poem, don't really sure why I write it actually :(
Maybe is because someday today, my classmates kept laughing at me, and it did helps me think of.. 'this'

A very sad poem, people tend to aim for the heart. But, such an emotional poem.

I really like how every verse ends with the title of your piece. "Did you?" - that's a very wise question indeed. People always look to their own navel and won't notice how cold and hurting they can be. I can relate with your poem, to be honest. Great work!
