Delete and Block

Why do you say it?
It really hurts me,
don't you know,
how rude you are?
I dont mean any harm,
but you force me to hate you,
by clicking delete,
and a simple 'block'

a writer online, minato namikaze, have say he hates my wriitng, and it sucks. I feel so bad! Not that the review is constructive, he just type 'I hate it'...... Lots of unfriendly words, and yeah, I delete him as my friend. But really, do I suck at writing that I should stop writing?

It sounds as though he should be called 'kamikazi' LOL It's upsetting when someone vents their negative feeling son you - but you did the best thing - block him and move on. Leave him to his problem and get on with writing what you enjoy. Constructive criticism is one thing, flaming is another..

Still... you wrote a good little poem as a result!

I know that it would hurt to have someone insult you like that, but you just have to ignore them--like you did! Blocking and deleting was the right thing to do,!

Don't let negativity get you down! Remeber, if he doesn't like it then it's his problem. I for one love your writing and would be sad if you stopped. Just remember that no matter what you can't write to please everyone, as long as you please yourself you don't need to worry.

I believe that if an artist doesn't have enough love for their craft
to be self motivated...their heart just isn't in the right place.
No one should be able to take your desire to create away from you.
It is nice to be rewarded and given compliments, but you should be
just as proud of you work that has zero reviews. You have to create
for yourself. If every artist caves into the pressure of negative feedback
we will all be die cast poets who are enslaved to current trends. Originality
will certainly die along with anything meaningful we have to say.

I will leave you to think about the future of your work. You have people
here who support you, but if you need us to tell you not to quit.....
I'm afraid you are writing for others...instead of from the heart.

I apologize if my words seem harsh. I don't mean to offend....
but I feel that without artistic integrity...we are simply entertainers.

. oh dear ... i hate it when people are disrespectful ... it is your right to write, dear cynthia ... IT IS YOUR RIGHT ... AND NO ONE CAN TAKE THAT RIGHT FROM YOU ... AND YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO THROW ANYONE OUT OF YOUR LIFE WHO CANNOT RESPECT YOUR RIGHT TO WRITE ... whoever writes poetry, does not write masterpieces every time ... does that mean we have a right to write only masterpieces ? ... plus, i may write something which someone thinks is a masterpiece and someone else doesn't agree ... the most important thing is the RIGHT TO WRITE ... if someone can't respect my right ... they can go take a walk ... going to someone's post and saying "i hate your writing" is a form of RAGE ... and HATRED ... if i don't like what someone wrote ... and i don't experience rage or hatred ... i simply don't leave a comment ... and i leave their universe of verse ... too many people on this site and in this world are experiencing rage ... and expressing rage ... as if it is their right to express it ... why can't they shut up and be respectful ... we don't have the right to hate what someone wrote ... and we don't have the right to express rage ... that's inhuman ... you don't need to tolerate someone's inhuman behaviour ... you did the right thing ...

. recently ... em and i were harassed and harassed and harassed by someone who stalked me from orkut ... created a fake profile ... deceived us ... and then bad mouthed me in front of em (and em doesn't take nonsense) ... she's my best buddy ... his name on this site (WC) is serpent ... he was so disrespectful, so disrespectful, so disrespectful ... that we simply stopped reading him ... and initially we thought that there was no point in blocking him because he can create a fake profile yet again ... and we only deleted him from our friend list ... but then recently we did ... because at least we should make it difficult for him ... there is no need for you or anyone else to tolerate disrespect ... you did the right thing and please do not feel guilty about it ... you should be proud of yourself for blocking someone who is full of hatred and disrespect ...

Don't listen to people like that; they obviously haven't a clue what they are talking about if it's not constructive at all. You don't suck at all, don't take one bugger's opinion against everyone elses; where does he live? I hate people like this, I will ACTUALLY batter him! Keep writing, surely you know people like myself and Jibey over there (herro) enjoy your writing, that's two against one already - so don't give up. Even if people are trying to beat you down, just fight on! If you ever need someone to talk to give us a bell, I am only a message away.
However, on the other hand (my rant is far from over, but you know...) a nice little poem here you made out of it. Well done. Still, don't listen to people who aren't trying to be helpful and just bash your writing; clearly they aren't worth your time~

no!! you don't suck at writing!! don't let someone like that ruin anything for you! I have a read a lot of your writing and you are very talented and creativity in many ways and it shows through your beautiful writing! never stop!
people are constantly going to discourage you and try to bring you down when you are trying to think positively and do what you love. but if you let them stop you, then they have won.
so keep on writing, and please sending me read requests, cause you seriously rock!
(ps. just my opinion, whenever someone just outright says that you suck- it usually means that they are jealous and they want to stop you from getting any better than they are).

never stop writing, something I quoted in a recent poem "WRITE FOR YOURSELF" if other people do not like well then that is their problem! if some like, then you're doing something right so don't give up! and this place is for all levels and ages of aspiring poets who should not be in fear of backlash for uploading things! block and delete indeed!!
