Rewrite

People used to say

we can write

our future

but I can see my future,

dark and cold

my past caused that

I laughed

who said

I can write my future?

No one should

I can't rewrite

anything

even my future

cause

everyone blamed my past

not recognizing

my pain from the past.

But I met you

you told me

I should write

now

to rewrite the future

should I believe you?

I really want to

rewrite my future

I don't want to fell

in pain

once again

but just one thing

can I rewrite

the time

now?

I hope you're now

cause now

I am deciding

to write now

and hope

no one

will remember

my past

It's hard

I know

But I must do it

otherwise

no one

will receive

my apologize

you bless me

to complete my wish

Please God

let me rewrite

everything

I like the concept of this poem. I like what you wrote. I believe we can write down dreams and goals. For some reason the goals and dreams seem stronger and alive when we aim at this with our pen. The poem is outstanding. You made me think. Thank you.

the future writes itself...conventions and human behaviour follows patterns and variables but fundamentally the future is all mapped out well in advance...i guess one can make alterations and discover small serendipitys along the way...and your faith is something i don't have but it's no less beautiful anyway...:)

Cynthia...I love the concept of your poem. Fourth stanza, "fell" should be "fall" and sixth stanza, "apologize" should be "apology." This is great...asking God for a second or even another chance! I really like this!!
