We've all experienced that stroke of musical inspiration. Here's a collection of small stories, ranging from present day to the past, romance and friendship, from the norm to just strange.

"

…And as I gazed upon her soaking figure, I realized suddenly that she was the most beautiful creature to ever walk this earth. Her cotton dress stuck to her pale skin from rain and sweat. I assumed that before our run and the storm the dress was white, though now it appeared to be a sort of beige color. The water running from her dripping blonde hair mixed with the tears upon her radiant face.

"Anna…" I took a step forward.

"Don't come any closer!" She cried, flinching backward and shaking her head violently. "Don't come near me…"

I held out my hand as if I was attempting to pacify a wild animal, and in reality, the scenario was very much the same. "Anna, please. I'm not going to hurt you."

"You've said that over and over again! How can… How can I trust you, Christophe?"

Her beauty doubled in my eyes in the way that she became angered with me. It broke my heart, to see the tears pool in her glittering blue eyes once more. "You can trust me. I'll never hurt you again."

"I want to trust you, but I can't." She sighed heavily, looking at me with sad eyes. "This is the last time I'll allow myself to be torn asunder by you."

With that, the thunder rolled once more and she nodded curtly before running over the hill and disappearing. "Anna!" My voice was drowned by a sudden burst of rain above my head.

And with that, she was gone. And I was alone.
