Alcatholics, and The Angels in Captivity

Alcatholics, and The Angels in Captivity

A Poem by Dave C.
"

Lyrics to a song I wrote about how religion takes advantage of people and the name of God.

"

I keep an angel in my closet

But she can't come out at this moment

'Cause I'm always down for mugging

Of poor defenseless

simple minded peasants

Suspect nothing at all

But now everyone knows the truth

So I'll open up to let her out

And I've spoken like a true protestant

She stumbled off her severed feet

She's was only here to visit

Now she's for me to keep

Her wounds secrete

Half the money I need

To fill the greed

And Now everyone want their cut

So I'll untie her now to let her down

And I've spoken like a true protestant

I suggest You hold your breath and hope for the best

'Cause now everyone wants their cut

So hold her down, pull her wings from off her back

And I've spoken like a true protestant

I suggest you cover up and hope for the best
