Children

Children

A Poem by Cynthia Harmon
"

Experience of Children

"

You try to show them, who they are inside,

Tell them to never let their feelings hide.

You teach them how to share,

And as they grow up to care.

To speak their mind when they feel the need,

And watch for those  they need to heed.

To follow God's rules, listen, trust and obey.

For there is no tomorrow without a today.

Teach them how to make their dreams come true,

To respect others and they will respect you.

Push them to be their best even make them mad,

Always thinking of them even when you're sad.

All these things we show,

While helping them to grow.

I've been there from the start

I'll always love them with all my heart.

These babies of mine, now so grown.
