Richard west is only an average high school student who cares for nothing aside himself, there are things in his life that caused him to become what he is today. To his family he is the only outcast but only by his own choice. Richard goes to school and never mention's anything when he gets home. In a dark rainy day all that he is now will start to slowly change.

The morning is always the same but he has a feeling that something will happen this skill of his came natural to him when he was living in a farm with his grandparents. On his small desk is a picture of him and his grandparents under a large mango tree. He never wanted to leave that old farm but when his mom came to take him back to the city it's almost like his entire world became gray. A simple life style is what he had in that farm cause there were no electricity or toys for him to play with but never the less it was fine with him. The mornings in that farm was the most enjoyable, his grandma will always prepare crackers with coffee for breakfast and all three of them will eat together, in the afternoon they will go to the rice fields and check the waterways and when evening comes the small family would gather in front of that old house and listen to battery powered radio, life was indeed simple back then but it was all he wanted.

Richard walks to school like always but in some cases he would use his bajaj motorcycle that has a 200cc engine. Everything was normal but the dark clouds started to get thicker and soon the heavy rain fell down. He decided to take shelter in a waiting she at the side of the road. He went in and stroke his hair backwards while squeezing the water out from it. It's really pouring down isn't it? a voice came from the corner and there a girl was sitting. She has a pale skin color with dark brown hair and a slim figure. Richard only looked at her then turned his attention to the rain. You look sad is there something wrong? the girl asked with concern. In his mind he was wondering why is this girl talking to me? I'm sorry if i asked it's just that i thought i might be able to help but i guess all i did is annoy you. Her eyes became sad and even though he has no plans of talking he felt guilty for some reason. You did nothing wrong i just don't usually talk to people specially those that i don't know.
Oh my, i forgot to introduce myself my name is Mae i'm new to this town and i'm kind of lost. He noticed that there was a large bag behind her and two small suit cases and he then asked her. Is there somewhere you plan to go? Yes i'm looking for an old man perhaps you can help me i have this picture of him maybe you can take a look?
He took the photo and looked at it. What is your relation to this man? He is my father, he left when i was nine years old and i haven't heard of him since then but someone told me that i can find him in this town, why do you know him? I only know where he lives but i didn't got a chance to talk to him or anything. Really?! then can you take me to where he lives?! I'm sorry but he's dead he passed away two months ago and his house is now abandoned cause it seems that he has no family to take custody of it. The girl was speechless and it almost looked like she's going to break apart but it didn't took long before her tears came falling like the rain. That was the first time Richard saw a girl crying and he felt even more guilty and he wanted to say something her but he can't. Can i ask favor from you? the girl asked. What is it? Can you take me to his grave then his house? I can take you his grave but i don't think the house is open. The girl showed him a key. This key was sent to me by someone and perhaps it's from my father. Very well then if this will make you feel a bit better then i'll take you there.

They reached the grave and they stayed there for about thirty minutes and then they went to the house to see if Mae's key can open it. The door was unlocked and the two came in, Richard stayed in the living room while Mae browsed through the house Richard knows how sad she was and he chose to just leave her alone for a while but it's already dark and the fact that he missed school today is worrying him. He walked towards the only room where the light was on and he saw Mae sitting in a corner holding an envelope while her face was buried under her arms. I need to go now it's already dark and perhaps you should get some rest. Mae stood up while her head was down, she walked towards him and rested her head on his chest then her left hand hold on to his shirt. Do you ever felt so lonely that you just wanted everything to go away? What do you mean Mae? My father left me in his friends house promising that he'll come back but years go by and no matter how hard i wait he never came back and now he's gone for good and my mom is nowhere to be found also. It hurt so much that i can't stand it anymore! A lot of people leave me behind my friends, my cousins and now my father! I can't bare the pain and it's ripping me to pieces i want to die now! Richard pushed her a bit and slapped her face for a reason that he himself don't even know the girl was shocked and even Richard was but he know what to say to her now. Life is a B***H i know but dying just because you're alone that's even more of a b***h! If being alone can be reason enough to die then there will be no more space in any graveyard to bury the dead! I'm alone and that is one fact that i don't deny but i hold on to my life cause there are people who don't want me to give up just yet and if i die then i'm sure that i have no right to face them in the after life! Mae was looking at him and she knew what he was saying was all true and something about him moved her soul that she feels if she is with him then nothing else will matter so she asked him. Will you then stay with me cause i have no one else now and i'm scared to be alone can you do that for me or your just saying all this cause your annoyed by me?! If i'm alone then i don't want to live..
Richards eyes widened and surprise was written all over his face but he knows that if he don't do anything then this girl might commit suicide but after hearing her out he found an image of him when he was just a child looking for his grandparents. He held her shoulders and looked straight into her eyes and said, If i do stay by your side then will you not give up on your life? Mae was mesmerized by Richards dark eyes and she said yes. The heat of the moment took place and both are now looking at each others eyes while their faces slowly came closer and their hearts beats even faster Richard knows that everything was happening too fast but he can't control himself there was something about her the lured him to this moment it was almost like his mind was awake but his body moves entirely on instinct and the same thing goes for Mae. Their lips touched and their bodies is now lying on top of each other they have lost control and allowed everything to happen and they shared the night with so much warmth that rarely happens on two total strangers only tomorrow and the coming days can tell how this relationship will unfold
