Evolution

the third piece.....

I've been dreading writing this one,

I always thought it would be the last

For you see, i only believe in three tries

Third piece would be my final goodbye

Yet it seems this is a new chapter

The beginning of something much better

For what i felt before was quite deep

But what i feel now is more real

It took a bit of introspect to get here

To really decipher how i feel

Beyond the butterflies and little giggles

I got to the core of what really was or is

You see at first i was quite obsessed

The idea of your perfection was hypnotic

But now I've had a grip on it

Through it all I have survived this evolution

So whether we end up together

Or we remain really good friends

My heart is at peace and rightly so

Because either way it will still be magic

I like how you accept the fact that you and the person you are interested in may not end up together. There is a feeling of realness in this poem. Keep writing you are great at it.
