Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by TaurusKay

Gasping for breath. Holding on to every second of air I inhaled. Kicking and trying my hardest to be free from this rough grasp that encased my neck. Being jerked under the warm salty water constantly, water gushing into me feeling like every move I made was my last. I felt a sense of relief as I gasped for my last breaths of air letting all my problems and all my fears float away. The pain of the water pushing its way down my throat and escaping into my lungs was merely an insignificant speck and now serenity was finally approaching. Everything went black, I heard nothing and I felt at ease for the first time in my life...
