All I can be

All I can be

A Poem by SamBug

I don't want to be

the homecoming queen.

I don't care where I'm not

but where I am.

I don't need fancy things

to be happy.

I can accept that I'm not

the prettiest girl in the world

or the smartest

or the tallest.

I can deal with average looks

average height

and average size

because I know

in a deeper level

I am an individual;

someone you've never met before

someone who isn't stereotyped like the others.

I'm no prom queen,

extravagant actress,

nor a nobel prized scientist.

I'm me.

And that's as good as I can be.

I'm glad you feel that way. I wish I could have as much confidence as this. Maybe then I wouldn't be so afraid to come out of my shell and face the world. I love this!!
