I found me

I found me

A Poem by SamBug

Laying here dreaming
staring at the ceiling
wasting the day away.
The world's flying by
out the window outside
but that's just really okay.
Contemplating, scheming
Thinking life's beaming
around me, giving me the
satisfaction I need
to think about life
and where I'm going.
Dreaming
Scheming.
My life is going somewhere
I don't really know where
Sometimes I just lose my way
I'm too scared to move on
and I don't stray away.
But then I wanna see
that Italian tower leaning
and maybe I could leave right now.
But if it's too far,
I could jump into my car
and take a little trip downtown.
Thinking bout my life
and where I'm really going,
I know who I am right now.
Like a caterpillar cooning
A butterfly blooming
No more assuming anymore.
With a cross in my heart
and Jesus in my soul
I know who I am
and where I wanna go.
With trust hanging by
and friends clinging near
I've become me.
And I know who that is.

Self-evulation is the toughest fight to fight. Again good job. I enjoy reading your poems for I can relate to them.

Poem is outstanding. I could feel the struggle at the beginning. The ending was powerful and true. We must have fate and belief to survive daily in this world. A excellent poem.
