The winds playground

The winds playground

A Poem by SamBug

I came around to thinking of the time
When life was free and fun for all of us.
Like wind blowing around the mountain climb,
All children rush across the yard in trust.
They scream and laugh and cling to things so dear
And whisper to the world of lifetime dreams;
The dreams that make the future seem so clear
Are dreams the wind could only hold it seems.
Green meadows dance and join along with glee;
The flowers in the daylight air seem bright
While singing to the childrens' melody;
And nothing changes after day is night.

I contemplate on which I want to most,
But most of all which dreams to hold so close.

Very nice, especially for an assignment. I'm sure it will be graded nicely.

This was the kind of poem I'd expect to see in a book of poetry. Like a professional wrote it :) It was very good, and had a peaceful feeling to it. Very nice and enjoyable :) You better have gotten an A!

I enjoyed this poem. It was well-worded and very elegant. I think you captured the concept very well, and thus, you deserve an A+ in your class for this assignment. :D

P.s. the Last two lines finished this poem VERY nicely.

Awe love the ending quote with "But most of all which dreams to hold so close." Love that and will always remember that and bet you got an A in that class for this poem because it was awesome. Nice job and keep it up.

The title set the mood for the poem, but there quite a few grammatical errors that I had a hard time getting past. Review it yourself before posting, please. lol

I contemplate on which I want "the" most,

I have that to and the problem, too. I have a was and saw problem, as well. LOL!

When reality hits, it seems that dreams are lost to the wind. Very wonderfully written!

I contemplate on which I want the most,
But most of all which dreams to hold so close.

I liked those lines, even though, they were rather alike and some would say repetitive. I say it's more like an echo. Hold on to your dreams and they just might come true. I never imaged as a young writer that so many people in endless countries would be not only be reading my work, but communicating to me how they felt about it. And, the fact that they are fellow writers is, even, more wonderful!!
