My secret songA Poem by Leah Tlyrics for a song that i haven't written the music for yetWhen I turned away from you to lock my door I smiled to myself but I made sure That you saw my so-called secret and maybe you Thought there was more More where that came from More where that came from
I wore the secret smile underneath my clothes Neck up I talked and laughed and sang, putting on a show I kept your eyes on mine so they Couldn't wander down and know Something I hadn't yet exposed Something I hadn't yet exposed
And when we faced each other in front of my locked gate The secret underneath my clothes blazed with a sudden weight The sun pierced my eyes, the stones bit my feet I sagged and I flagged Groping for a retreat The gate closed beween us And the pain went away But that heavy balled secret Is inside me today
