Sooner, Later

Sooner, Later

A Poem by Curtis Shannon
"

Farther apart than ever before.

"
The water's not so big,
Keeping me from you.
The months don't seem so long,
Making us "one" and "one" instead of "two."
The seasons will slowly change,
And I will find you there
Under the Willow within range
Of its stringy leaves like angel hair.

The water seems so big--
It tore you away from me.
The months stretch on and on--
Am I caged, or am I free?
The winter season never goes away,
And I never found you there
Under that Willow torn away
By loveless hands, void of care.

i absolutely relate to this...a long distance relationship...me in the states, she in Poland...

so far away...many letters, and then the seas parted and here she was....then the visit was over, she got on a plane, and here she wasn't...
