I FeelA Poem by Curtis ShannonWe all feel something.
I feel the calming breeze
Sweep across my face. But inside, deep down inside The bowels of my very being, I feel only chaos; I know only chaos. I feel the cool waters Flow across my bare feet. But inside, locked away inside My cold, stone heart, I feel the fire of hate; It burns me. I feel weak attempts of love From others who will fail me. And that's why--that's why My life is a cluster of darkness. I feel nothing; I am nothing. © 2013 Curtis Shannon |
