At The table of LifeA Poem by M. View
At the table of life
Open my mouth and then the words move Then it began to do some thing like sooth I guess the sound calmed the savage beast Cause as I sit at the table of life’s feast I taste the salt of the Atlantic sea And felt the whip of the bull on me Lost my voice as I swing from the maples Tried to heal the wounds with temporary staples That would disappear and wound would reopen So I take a hit of nature and feel me body flouting While hearing the voice of older people saying “get your self together” “We told you before that where will be sun and cloudy weather” Falling to my knees feeling the sun on my skin Thinking to my self when will this pain ever end? Drowning in the lake of my own fear Criticized cause I’m darker then my piers Feeling my skin being licked to see if it’s salty That’s help retain water so less feed for the passage Until this day they have people brain wash that I’m nothing but savage Cause of that salty
disposition
I’m condemned to have high blood pressure Cause they feed me scraps s**t that they don't want because they got me believing I’m lesser Less then half a man three quarts of an animal they believed But we founded higher education when they where still on there hands and knees Confine in caves many are still today "I’m superior to you" is what there enter voice must say Why do they believe it and how do they keep it true? They educate only 5% of the population and the rest is me and you.
