Love Notes from the Underbelly

Love Notes from the Underbelly

A Poem by Curiosity

I am writing this in hope it
will reach you in the nick of time.
In the past I have handled myself
in a very tardy fashion, with no
regard for how’d you react to my
tardiness and selfishness. I bid my most
honest apology.

However, I will not apologize
for acting as myself. If I had
acted in a different fashion, it would
be unfair to you. My love for you
would then be poisoned with
another man’s feelings.

We have seen a terrible amount
Of heartache in our time together,
But it fails in comparison to what
I have had to endure since your departure.

Come back to me, for it would
be more gratifying than my
greatest Christmas present. I have
struggled to live without you, your
touch was the only thing that aided me
through the day.

I swore to myself that I
would never gravel in any attempt to
win your heart again, but you have
such a profound impact one me.

I have compromised my entire belief
system for you, and for that, I should
be granted the gift of your presence
in my life again.

I hope to see you again, one day
in our lifetime. Even if we won’t
see one another again, I hope this

letter finds you and you are knowledgeable of my desires.
