I Remember You Poem

I Remember You Poem

A Poem by Ayahna.

Gabriella Marie

by Ayahna Hamilton

I saw

stars behind flooded eyes.

Overflowing with emotions,

she,

a small piece of something bigger,

entered a world

too small for the dreams she’d create.

I heard

a shrill scream.

Something akin to the sound of new life.

Something so priceless.

So clear.

A clean slate,

begging for colors.

I felt

An unyielding joy.

A need to protect and guide.

A love that can’t be explained.

Can’t be shared by parents or friends or aunts or grandparents.

A bond forming that can only be felt by siblings.

Something we can keep

tucked in between

moments we’ll share.

The structure of the poem makes it flow very well, its questionable as to what you are talking about at first but then the way it ends makes it more clear and detailed.
