Sleeping with me

Sleeping with me

A Poem by JacobMarloe

I close my eyes and try to find sleep
Somewhere between gray threads of thought
there's a thousand blinking lights
invisible fingers take hold
hues of today blue orange and more gray
Weave weave weave
weave me an image
weave weave weave
weave me an image of
weave weave weave
weave me an image of me
What I want and what I see
the two arteries of reality
bleeding out to fill the rivers of possibility
vibrant veins lead the way
rich rewards lie still and wait
reach reach reach
reach for
reach reach reach
reach for my
reach reach reach
reach for my pie in the sky
where the apple is crisp and I like the crust
steamy aroma escapes from the nose
all senses implore no more
sensory deprivation puts on a show
foggy impressions fade and a light begins to glow
ring ring
ring ring ring
ring ring ring
ring
