Sweet Tunnel Vision

Sweet Tunnel Vision

A Poem by JacobMarloe

Yellow feverish disposition
Hurry up and orbit to my
Silver eyed Inquisition

Raidiant glowing light
Shown down upon asphalt
Draped in platinum night

Tempered skies reflect upon
Ridden surface
Set ablaze by heavens gleam

Tunnel vision sets in
My mind lost in a waking dream

Sweet senses delight
In the presence of night

This reminds me of insomnia, but also the tricks our hostile minds can play on us......which you describe so aptly with "tunnel vision"......there is an irony in calling it sweet though, as if we are prisoners of our own short-sightedness.....unable to see the depth to which our thinking has fallen, still believing that we can see, without knowing that we are blind.

Great writing!

Good luck with your writing. Out of turmoil masterpieces flow.
