My Doppelganger's Grief

My Doppelganger's Grief

A Poem by cubao farmer

 The night was my weakness,

It was like the shallow water,

Under the radiance of the Full Moon,

It was like the great shadows,

Over the terrains of the mountains,

It was like a howling wolf,

Longing for pack on his side.

The night was my weakness,

Where the light of hope vanishes,

Where my grieving doppelganger becomes visible,

And the shadow of my heart becomes invincible.

The night was my weakness,

Where I reminisces the memories,

That you forged from my past,

Where I remember every painful moment,

That YOU engraved to my present,

And Where I grieve,

For every coming nights.

Lovely. First stanza is breathtaking.

I was unsure about the choice to capitalize "YOU"...have you seen what it looks like in italics instead?
