Ennui

Ennui

A Poem by Catherine O'neill

so far from myself
in a world of running time and the click
click click there are no quiet times in my mind to see what the wind brings easily down into

dark recesses
to which something like wisdom lived.
It is tired.

Still there but too easy
and not easy enough
to find

no gleeming forests to roam

See the wind upon the lake coming
please come here
I'm waiting.
