A Poem by Stark

Often
At times when quiet is mistaken for aloneness
The mind wanders
To a distant yet not so truthful reality
That the future is uncertain
While the past is too certain of itself
Where nostalgia becomes dread
And time becomes undecipherable
Nothing to look back nor forward to
Nothing to swallow but pills and hypotheses
Of realities that could have been
But never were
