A Poem by Stark

cross-section
when a body, a corpse gets cut open
it becomes nothing more
but a glimpse into that beings life
into it's past, who it was before
it becomes nothing more
than a learning experience
an opportunity to learn
and recover from it's indecisions, it's mistakes
As its cosmic reason of being
becomes clouded by it's decay
we realize, we see clearly how tiny we all truly are
in the grand equation of things
in the cosmic emotions of life
we are
specks
we barely exist, barely matter
barely
Longing
for life, for love
diminishes everything we were set out to be, to do.
