Open your eyesA Poem by CINARDedicated to the souls departing, and also Marianne Faithfull Take3, 2019
If you think you've been so clever
Off your potential Open up your eyes Get tranquilized - with no sting or pills We're under the ear of God All pray for blood Not to splatter all around And if it does An indulging God is what we all pray for And your wisest seizures Not to have been estimated long before Men in white roam around In rooms in white where we all sit by the hall And we all force not to put one small mark Of urgency up on our faces And we know you've been so very generous For your life So please open up your eyes Please open up your eyes You humored down at the feet Of each and every chest fluffer As your teeth start to impact back You played the game Because you had a hard time moving your back You chose not the most winning way to go And the degrees you hold In an alturist's school of hope Were maybe not the best way to go And you're not even wrong Please open up your eyes Please open up your eyes And we lay at your feet and sleep by your side And no God magic and no men in white table turning And we wake into your bed all made up In an ice machine they lay you down We all wave and run away © 2019 CINARReviews
