SunshineA Poem by CarolT-WSense poem
It's early, the day begins
The sun wakes us from our slumber It's rays of light snaking through the cracks of the window coverings Ears alert for morning sounds Birds announce a new day Cats meow for their breakfast Other rooms alarms buzz to life Roll over, stretch, open your eyes No not yet, the warmth of the blankets calling you back, A few minutes to doze Eyes closed rays of light Stronger now shine brighter Eyes see the glowing red A sigh and you're awake Stand in the suns light Gather warmth from its rays Life renewing A smile and you're on your way.
