The "It" of the office

The "It" of the office

A Poem by cstrom
"

a fun quick spillover from my frustrations dealing with a certain controlling and negative "It" in my office that makes everyone else sad.

"

The “It” of the office

….And the heft of the breath from across the hall came

Another crisis- It searches for someone to blame

Stiff, half-breathed and adrenaline rushed

The sads wait for the sounds of the It’s walk to be hushed

“please not my office” the sad silent prayers fly

With relief, each sad sighs, as the It walks by

Still on the hunt for the It food it needs

Down the hall to its focus- the It, it proceeds

Then it comes, the mighty groan when the It finds its mark

And with breath like a storm and a bite like a shark

The It spews out the woes and the sins of the one

That stirred it from slumber for something undone

Control must be had of the sads in this place!

The angry words fly as the It makes its case

After all of the gnashing and thrashing and woe

The It falls silent… for a breath…. and then goes…

The fallout from the It of the office remains

For the sad one, of the sad many, the It is their bane

The sads circle round and clean up the mess

As the It moseys off for a much needed rest

Then the clock strikes five and the It’s spell is broken

All the sads leave, but then happy and hopeful!

Then there’s just one left, the most sad of all

Who is rarely attuned to the five o’clock call

In it’s silent domain, sitting there all alone

Is the It of the office, on its paperwork throne
