A poets love letter

A poets love letter

A Poem by Christopher Staab
"

About my first and probably only real love.

"
She was as sweet
as that first bite
of chocolate ice cream
as a child.
I loved her.
When I kissed her
I felt my insides
melt to the ground
like those dark drips
falling from my pretzel cone,
saturating the earth
with subliminal
satires I now
can reach with
not just pshycality
but with words.

A very well done piece of poetry.
Really enjoyed how you compared love to simple life experiences.
Thank you for sharing such wonderful poetry.

This is a wonderful poem. The richness and depth of imagery transport the reader into the writer's world effortlessly.
One note -- I wonder what you meant by pshycality? physicality perhaps?

This write is completely wonderful. I love the way you penned this with all the metaphors and images as few but powerful as they were. Greatly penned.
