Altering tidesA Poem by Christopher StaabReligious themed
I walked to the top of Everest
and when I got there I got my shovel out and dug up that cross once left behind as a symbol. I meditated. I called for the Buddha. i centered life for one small instance and realized life is made beyond the pageantry of some Christian God that has kept me alone worshipping my own failed existance. I prayed. Talked to Jesus this time, told him I must move beyond sole preservation of one Religious Ideology and stop battling with those demons summonded by the anti-Christ. I was renewed. I buried some salty pork bones I had left over as my symbol of a new generation. One filled with new ideals, new loves, where everything was alright, and everything was treasured.
