Morning

Morning

A Poem by csprohar
"

A morning walk

"

Sleep, that sleepy slumber
As twilight combs the sky
And dew collects
On Leaves of grass

The sinewy serpent of night
Flees from the light
And the last shimmery moon beams
On casements catch

The morning star
Like the warm glow from the mountain rises
Cutting through the shroud of night
Pouring out the new light
Glistening on the dew

Sleep, that sleepy slumber
As twilight combs the sky
And dew collects
On leaves of grass

I really love this piece. So beautifully written. It makes me want to be a star in the sky and watch it all happen. Brilliant.

Beautiful imagery here. That second stanza is really great. I can just picture a jet black snake slithering away from the vicious rays of moonlight.. This makes me want to go to sleep and rise early enough to watch the sunrise :) I like it very much. Nicely done.
