Disintegrate

Disintegrate

A Poem by Carly Holtzman

What if I can’t find the words?

What if one day, the elegant and poised words that now comes so easily, stop?

The apocalypse of love loomed so unexpectedly,

the youth was uprooted and eternally, broken, lost.

Fields of dandelions were replaced by burning coal and yearning flesh,

A dream, a thought, a simple melody,

Can it survive?

Love and youth can’t continue to disintegrate

without the death of bliss and joy along with it.

This is so sad. We definitely can't live without joy. Nice work :)
