Losing Grip

Losing Grip

A Poem by Carly Holtzman

Losing grip with my unreality,

Real life seeping back,

The gates of misery open before me,

Just waiting to fall apart again.

In the present life seems flawless

but if history repeats itself,

the monsters will return.

Maybe this time the universe

will work to my will,

Obey my command and deserare,

Or perhaps it will be just as

it always has been;

An intolerable pain.

Thorns, sensitive to the touch,

I just want him to

call me his,

I admit, what I want.

"Maybe this time the universe

will work to my will,"

I tell myself that a lot, too.

Another great write, I really like your stuff.
Keep up the good work :)
