Aristotle's Saying
A Poem by Carielle Danio
just a few words of my thoughts
We are what we repeatedly do; excellence then, is not an act, but a habit. " Aristotle once wrote this saying and Aristotle's words made me think. Each person's view of Aristotle's saying might be different; each person may believe something else. But in my opinion, I can't say I completely agree with what Aristotle was suggesting. In certain cases, sure, his words stand true. If you continue to ride a bike even after you fall, you will eventually get the hang of it. But how about looking at his meaning in a harder concept? How about when we continue to try to succeed in something that we never have the pleasure of accomplishing? Is it then when his words do not make sense? And how do we live with the acceptance of never obtaining the goal we wanted? |
