I am

I am

A Poem by CRZ

She stands there. Thinking , wishing , hoping. Now she knows.

The man stands in front of her. A robust cunning smile towards her.

She, strong as a lion chewing its prey, her heart pounding, voice quivering. Shouts!

Very powerful... and I'm not so sure it means that she devours at the end.. I think there is a surprise in the shadows ;) lol.. Excellent write...

and now she is ready for the kill but in a illusive way

strengths and tensions pulling ... together .. apart ... smacks of make dominance and yet the power of the woman ... really makes me think ... this visit to the jungle ...
perhaps lioness instead of lion in the third line ..
i like the simplicity of your poem and it is so universal ... plays out everyday on the streets ..
