I am

I am

A Poem by CRZ

She stands there. Thinking , wishing , hoping. Now she knows.

The man stands in front of her. A robust cunning smile towards her.

She, strong as a lion chewing its prey, her heart pounding, voice quivering. Shouts!

reads more like a scene in a story but whatever it's still good, well done.

"she, strong as a lion chewing its prey" great use of a simile there! Had to read over it twice because it caught my eye. There was great imagery there! Shows the power of lust and love very well!

So eloquent with a simplicity that illustrates the alluringly feral atmosphere so well.

"I am the one" being separated from it all really put such a bold emphasis on that statement, I felt the heat of those words on the back of my neck. Pure magic, CRZ.

Adrenaline-inducing! Wonderfully simple, and as compact as any Haiku! Love it!
