July

July

A Poem by CRZ

It's July

A beautiful day
the kids just play

The weather has nearly reached its pinnacle
Night time seems so smooth and mystical

A drink served ice cold
Thank you's are given, nice & bold
It's already hot for all that fire
but let the story of life be told.

Maybe I have misread but do you mean to say "the weather has nearly REACHED its pinnacle"? Indeed let the story of life be told, you here intertwine innocence and experience, mirroring the cycle of life as Blake did. You for sure have some great ideas friend, perhaps just focus in on grammar and rhythm while you exercise them! Good work :)

So many questions raised by the last two lines. Are we to expect a blow up between the guests? The "but" suggests a change from the lovely peaceful images leading to it. Nicely done.
