Grief

Grief

A Poem by CRZ

The man is just killing time on that table
He is not able, to accept the reality
Of his decisions that turned fatal
So he's thinking of his existence quite radically

The heart was once red, full of vigor
But the mind is a killer, it's called over thinking
So in attempt to ease the tensions, there goes
another bottle of liquor
Because you aren't you when you're hungry
but he's empty inside his soul, he needs honey
but not a lot of sugar like a snicker

Grief is the greatest thief
of our tranquility within
But if you freeze and breathe
and let the breeze relieve all the
grieve
It will decrease and will release
... the man within

HAI!!!
times like these gin is good
but brandy is still my choice
grief goes away when you drowned it

This is so true. People should grieve, but not forever.

Grief drags you into the abyss...sometimes so deep that everything else ceases to matter. Very poignant write.

Grief is a powerful emotion that can drag you down many paths, some regrettable. But you know, my doctor just told me a couple of weeks ago that 4 or 5 deep breaths with your eyes closed actually releases enough serotonin into your bloodstream to help to elevate your mood. So the end of the poem counsels deep breathing and its result is spot-on. Very good.

It is always best to think, remain calm and release when grief finds your heart or soul. Love the snickers pitch in this one. Eat my friend, for you are not you when you are hungry. Very nicely done my friend.

realistic lines........stress, tension, frustration are offered by god to make us more rigid. Everything should be faced bravely :)
