People Open Minds

People Open Minds

A Poem by CRZ

I like open minded people.
people you can just talk to
And not get judged or criticized
through sinners eyes

I like open minded people
conversations are never the same
atmosphere feels like a sequel
creativity they attain

Where we are aware of our differences
where we take care of our misses and
no one disses
one another cause we are all human
aka brothers

I like open minded people
we rather share ideas
help our peers
and give advice to overcome
a certain vice and fear

I like open minded people
cause that's when the doors of my soul
slowly opens
I like open minded people and they like me back
well that's what I'm hoping

A liberal nature opens up many opportunities ... to air things that we would have hidden inside. Where such liberal natures come from environments outside our immediate homes ... we create an appreciation for such values ... and we hope to grow with it someday. Nice.

People tend to mean different things by 'open mind'. Having an open mind is good...having no standards of your own, not so much...

Very cool rhyme scheme. It kind of snuck up on me there and my brain was like 'Oh!, hello there!' lol
Great read and a great write.

You did a really good job on this poem. The writing style has a nice rhythm, the repetition of "I like open minded people" keeps the reader focused and the sentiments in each stanza are easy to relate to. I love the line "when the doors of my soul slowly open" - another poem in the making right there ! Great writing CRZ. Justine

straight forward and brilliant :)

I love the reference at the end of the first stanza- "let he who is not guilty of sin cast the first stone"- yet people judge even when they are far from saintly themselves.

my favorite stanza, though, is the third. I just have one question- taking care of our misses? I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that.
