I've got to be honest, I'm not completely sure how I feel about the format. It's not hard to read exactly, but it's also not really easy to read and it takes a second to figure out that you're even supposed to be scrolling. It's definitely unique though, and it's always nice to see someone trying something that no one else is. And I'm a sucker for pictures. I'm too visual to not appreciate having those go right along with it.
As for the actual poem, I do like it. I am left wondering if you intended to play with the format of it or if that was just a consequence of having the pictures included in this way. It's not important, just a thought I had because it does kind of jump around a little bit on the page.
It is amazing how much someone can inspire us to do things whether it be create art or perform certain actions. Kind of a beautiful thought that only the name of the person you love is needed to push you forward.

Hello Green, thanks for taking the time to read and review my poem. I have been working with this fo.. read moreHello Green, thanks for taking the time to read and review my poem. I have been working with this format for many years now because I was receiving zero response to my poems written in more conventional styles. Plus, I am a huge fan of graphic novels and wanted to try and integrate that form with poetry. Finally, my heroes are Kabir, Rumi, Hafiz, Mahmud Shabistari, Yunus Emre and Lalla - poet seers who all wrote simply and ecstatically about their direct experiences with the Divine. It is the same impulse that causes me to write the way I do, and to employ some of the same motifs they used, but with a modern twist (the images). Old wine in new bottles. Thanks, once again, Green, for your honest and candid review. Much appreciated.
