Chapter 7 "My True Feelings"

I am surprised and at the same time a bit confused about the girl who suddenly called Steve. Who the hell is she? How did she know Steve? I turned to look at Steve and saw his eyes opened wide like he's in shock when he saw the girl. The girl approached us and suddenly hugged him ignoring the people around her including me. "Oh Steve I've missed you. It's been a while." She said still wrapping her arms around Steve's neck. Steve held her arms and unwrapped it from his neck."What are you doing here Anna?", Steve asked quizzically. How did Steve know her? A feeling of bewilderment and anger filled inside of me. She grinned and said,  "From now on, you'll get to see me everyday.""What do you mean?""Exactly what I said! See you later Steve!" She winked at him and turned to look at me with a dirty look and then walked away. Steve turned to look at me with an angry look that I've never seen before. But then, his face immediately softened after looking at me. "Elizabeth, I'm sorry, it's just...she's...it's hard to explain everything right now.""What are you apologizing for? I get it, you don't want to talk about it and you don't have to, it's okay!" I gave him a faint smile before leaving him.

I sat down at my chair without looking on him. My feeling of anger subsided but the felling of confusion remained and is growing second by second. I can't concentrate if I stay like this. I brushed my hair with my fingers and sat up straight. A minute later, Steve entered the room and proceeded to his desk. He glanced at me with a worried and concerned expression. Seeing him like that made my heart ache so I looked away. Minutes later, Mr. Burton entered the room and  behind him is Anna. Everyone in the room became noisy especially the boys as she appeared in front of us except for Steve. Ofcourse every guy would fall for her, she's pretty, her sparkling brown eyes and her seductive smile are perfect combination to attract guys. "Okay, everyone this is Anna Larsen, she's your new classmate. Anna please occupy the vacant seat at the back behind Steve.""Gladly!" She walked down the corridor and went to her seat. The discussion began and the uneasiness inside took over me. I hope that this will end soon so that I can get out and get away from everybody, from Steve. After few minutes, the bell echoed around the room. I gathered my things and left the room. I walked aimlessly down the hallway. I was engulfed by the students gathering in the place. "Hey Elizabeth!"'Elizabeth!""How are you beautiful" I can hear the boys calling out my name. Their voices and the shouting didn't bother me. But the only voice that I'm longing to hear is his voice. Why do I feel like this, I felt alone and sad without him. I guess...I...I'm in love with him.

"Elizabeth!",I heard someone called my name, I closed the car door and turned around. Steve ran panting towards me. He must have been looking for me. "Thank God I found you. I've been looking for you all over.""Why?" I asked curiously. "I just want to talk to you about something...actually about Anna. Can I come to your house tonight?" Part of me says that its a bad idea but a part of me wants to know what happen between him and Anna. "Okay!" looks like I wanted him to explain everything to me so I permitted Steve to come to my house.
