I Should’ve Bought TacosA Poem by ShannonThe best part of America is Mexican
I was on a diet
Like 600 calories a day And then I saw a taco stand It stressed me out The pressure of it all Like tin crinkling in my head Foil paper being wadded up for the trash can Over and over Can after Can filling up with balls of tin foil Getting heavier and heavier The burden al all that crinkling tin The weight of all those garbage cans Making me crazy So I bought a chorizo con papas burrito But now I just want to look at it It’s so beautiful And golden brown Just like mi esposa makes Like mi suegra made Like my daughters make Oh no The crinkling in my head Is back again
