Our Right To Fight

in support of the OCCUPY movement

Gonna write this down

before I blow

got a gasket about to pop

cuz of what I see

we've been done wrong

so very very wrong

the rich get hand outs

we get pink slips

they get fat stacks for treason

while we get evicted for diction

this fight has just begun

and one day we'll say

it is us who have won!

god willin and the creek dont rise

our nations pendulum is killin us

got thrown off kilter

were switchin and sighin

while theyre sippin their whiskey ginger

wall street big bosses need more than a wrist slap

they need an awakening thats more than just rude

we gotta rise up, with love and reason

logic and numbers

show our brains, though we'll be opposed with a violent fist

stand up, stay strong, be brave

strength in numbers will save the day

the balance must be brought back

the yin, the yang

this fight has just begun

and one day we'll say

it is us who have won!

don't tell me there's no hope at all

together we stand, divided we fall
