Snuff it OutA Poem by CrystalBluePersuasion
Sitting here once again cryin it out.
Mourning the losses, counting the costs. Stuck in the past, yet finding the future in your eyes. Stinging my mind. Chills up my spine. Is it time to find? Time to shed the old skin? This time I might try... to not tear it down, find the fault. Pick, prod and poke. If it looks good, make it bad. If things are happy I'll make em sad. Am I destined to self destruct til the day I die? I shrug, I question, I snuff it out. Blow it back, pull it down, push it off. What is this strange sensation? I know not how to deal with how good this something feels. Let's destroy it, maim it, crush it, snuff it out. I just wonder if I'll ever take it in , let it fill, let it resonate. Without my same old, same old self-hate. Play that song, strike that match. Think I'll just sit back and rehash everything I've destroyed thus far... Maybe this time I'll take it in, let it fill, let it resonate. And finally let the hell go of this same old self hate. © 2011 CrystalBluePersuasion |
