Burn Your Words

Burn Your Words

A Poem by CrystalBluePersuasion

the words you said
she burned em

the hurt I felt
has turned now
the pain in my heart
suppressed for a spell

the restrain I displayed
relearned quite well

scar me, lie to me
earn your keep while I turn and weep

this time, like those before
is feeling like evening the score

like an open sore

burn it once more

feel the fire of rage and disgust
this time I must discuss

the gist that I get when I set the bar lower
thats when I discover the song of another

Am I the keeper of my brother?
Hell no. I'm the keeper of no other.

but one thing I've learned is this:

the words you said are burnable...the disgust I feel is justifiable. The loss in this life is renewable. The death of my heart is rejuvinable.
