The Letter

The Letter

A Chapter by Writer

I closed and locked the door behind me, while still holding on to my letter. As I walked over to my desk, I held the letter in the light.

'What kind of garbage did he send this time?' I thought and raised my eyebrows.

Letters from Hell is differernt from letters we recieve on Earth. There's a lock that needs to be opened by its receiver in order for the letter to be revealed. For the lock to be opened, the receiver must blow into the lock. If it was blown by someone else, that person will be burnt up alive. Also, locks could be shaped into different things. Sometimes if you don't look carefully, you could end up never opening the letter.

I read the cover of the envolope addressing my full name. It's a little stupid for him to do so, but I guess being The King would means that everything you do must be neat, organized, and perfect.

Finally, I blew on the sticker on the back of the envolope (which is the lock) and the sticker began to dissolve and it was gone within a second. Quickly, I took out the folded paper. It was a drawn picture of a woman.

"What the..." I said in anger. The woman was a devil. Her wings were clearly drawn. She was wearing 2 pieces of clothing, just to cover her front and back. Her gold hair was up to her shoulders. What makes me mad is that the stupid King has drawn her in a sexy pose on the floor. I crumpled the paper and threw it across the room, disgusted at what The King had done. However, there were another paper inside the envolope.

I narrowed my eyes and took it out, wondering if it was another piece of art done by him. Luckily, it was not. It was a letter written by him.

'Dear my lovely Akihto:

How have you been doing on Earth? I hope you are not causing any trouble. Well, just kidding. I don't really care even if you kill everyone there so basically, you can do whatever you want with the ladies.'

I stopped reading the beginning, and laid my head on my hand. I really don't want to read on this nonsense, but my instinct is telling me to go on.

'I hope you've enjoyed the picture drawn by me. I know that my drawings are wonderful but that woman is real, not just a figment of my imagination. Her name is Misoka Harada and she is the daughter of the leader of a very powerful group of demons here. As your uncle and being The King...I've arranged the two of you to be married next month. Of course, I have the permission to do this, since your parents strongly agreed, so there's no way for you to back up! Don't worry, she is very charming and beautiful. Even if she gets a little disruptive sometimes...but please only remember her good points instead of her horrible traits.

From what I had heard, she fell in love with you when she saw the picture of you I've shown her. She might come and visit you...so please be neatly dress at all times. If you dare not to marry her, that would mean that my empire will not be as strong and you would also break my heart, so please think this clearly. This is your mission for running off to Earth without listening to anyone, but I'm sure you love this. One more thing, I know you will be really grateful at me for what I had arranged for you, so please come visit your parents sometime OK? They missed you very much. Hope to see you soon, and we all love you, but we will love you even more if you marry that sexy lady.

Love, your dearest Uncle AKA The King

Note: This letter will self explode after reading.

'Wha...' I ran to my balcony and threw the letter out. The letter began to get into fire and soon turned into ashes, falling into the snow.

I sat down on my bed with my head down. 'That old man...' I thought. 'You think I will be grateful for this!?" I yelled. "And I don't give a crap rather she is sexy or not!!!"

"Master?" Tate knocked on the door. "Are you OK?" he asked with his worried voice. He seem to have heard me shouting in my room.

I walked over and unlocked the door. He opened the door after hearing the 'click' sound. He was holding on a plate with a bowl of soup. He silently closed the door and went over to my desk, placing the soup on the table. He didn't say anything, which was pretty strange for him not to do so if he had heard of my complains just now.

I watched him do his stuff and sighed. "I'm hating this..." I moaned, and fell into my bed, covering my face with my pillow.

"Master..." he began off. "I never wanted you to think of me as someone who's noisy, because butlers should not mind into their owners' business unless they were told. But, if you have something troubling you, I will always listen to you." he smiled.

I turned my head to him. "Thank you Tate. Talking to you makes me feel a lot better." I smiled back at him. "But until it gets official, I will not say anything OK?"

Tate nodded. "No problem sir."

That night, I could not sleep a wink. I got off of bed and went to my balcony, enjoying the fresh, cold air. I reached my hands inside my pocket, but there was something hard there, which caught my attention. I took out the item, and realized that it was the keychain Minako had given me ealier. I smiled and rubbed the surface as I held it tightly.

Meanwhile, Minako could not get any sleep either. She was busy thinking about what had happened when she was alone with Akihto. "Hehe." she squealed inside her blanket. She reached for the crystal inside her pajamas. The crystal shined brightly, although there were no sight of light. It was a glowing red. Minako smiled, wondering what the color red would mean. 'Maybe it's love.' she thought and squealed again.

***********************************************************************

Early in the morning, around 5 am, I had already gotten down the stairs, drinking my coffee. Everyone was still asleep, except a couple of servents and maids. I went out to the front and sat down. 'Earth...' I thought to myself, and began to daydream a little, ignoring how much time had passed.

"Akihto!" A girl voice had called me. I turned to my back, and it was Minako.

"Good morning." I said to her.

Minako quickly stopped after she was next to me. "Good morning." she said cutely. She was wearing her school uniform with her hair all down. "Are you going to school today?" she asked.

I blinked at her. "No. I'm not going anymore." I said and stood up, walking to the front door.

"Awww but why?" she asked, running to me.

"I already know everything. Going to school will just be a waste of my time." I explained.

Minako didn't say anything and folded her lips. "I see."

When we had gotten into the house, all the maids and servents were on the ground, covering their cheeks. Tate was there also, and he crawled to me. "M-Master..."

I bend down and helped him up. "What happened?"

Tate sniffed and point to a woman sitting on air. From the back, it looked like she was eating something. Minako observed Tate's wound on the cheeks. It was shaped like a hand. "You were slapped?" she asked, taking his hands.

Tate nodded and sniffed again.

Angily, I walked over to the girl sitting and enjoying my food. "Hey you." I said with a deep voice and tapped her by the shoulders.

The woman turned around and looked up at me. "Oh my..." she said with her bright eyes and slowly sat up.

'This girl...' I looked all over her. She was the girl from the picture. 'She really came...' I thought in horror.

The girl took my hand and hugged me tightly. "I miss you so much!"
