Her Nightmare

Her Nightmare

A Chapter by Writer

The minute I, Minako, opened my eyes, I was surrounded by a field of healthy, green grass. It was unbelievable, how the air could be so clean and fresh, how warm the sun was, and how the clouds were so white and fluffy. When I looked around, I could see that this place was at the end of a forest.

I sat up slowly with a bright smile on me. 'Why was I here?' I kept on asking myself. But it all don't matter, because this is just like a dream.

I stood up and walked around, kicking the grass softly. It was really relaxing having the sun shinning on me, so I lay down on the soft grass. I always feel like I've been carrying a big burden, but right now, I feel like I could put them all down and have a day to myself.

I breathe in the fresh air and looked up at the sky. 'What a day." I said and smiled. Suddenly, the sky began to turn dark and the clouds were gathering together, like a storm was about to come. The wind became stronger and the leaves were blowing in the air.

I looked around me with a frown. "What's happening?" I wondered. Then, I felt something crawling up on my fingers. I quickly turned to see what the slimy feeling was, and to my surprised, I was surrounded by tiny, white worms.

I screamed and threw the worms off my hand and jumped up. The ground was covered with those nasty bugs. What a disgusting sight to see.

I no longer entered my dreamland. I've entered a nightmare.

All of a sudden, the ground began to shake. The shaking was not continuous, but the ground jumped one by one. I didn't know what to do, but to wrap myself in my arms.

There were something coming from far away. Something very big, and it was walking toward me in a fast speed. When I could make out the figure, I gasped in terror. My mouth was trying to speak, but it couldn't do anything but making an O shape.

The thing was a giant. It had short, yellow hairs like straws with green eyes. The mouth was wide and I could see some red stuff stuck between its teeth. When I looked closer, the red stuff seemed to be meat. The giant had a figure like a very fat but tall woman. It had three pieces of cloth, or should I say, fur. One for its chest, one for its bottom, and one of its butt. Its hands and feet was huge and when it walks, the ground would shake.

"W-Wha...the hell..." I managed to say, but covering my mouth as soon as the words came out. The giant heard me, but it was way too tall to notice a tiny human like me. Its eyeballs moved around, searching for me. Quickly, I looked around for a place to hide, but the piece of land had no trees or caves. And the forest, it's impossible to get there because its way too far.

Slowly, I backed myself down while looking at the giant. Not knowing there was a log behind me, I tripped and fell and made a scream. The giant heard and sees me this time. The bark of the log had made cut on my leg and it was bleeding continuously. However, this was no time to worry about that wound. The giant laughed heavily and walked toward me with its hand held out.

"N-No..." I said in fear with tears in my eyes. I was going to be eaten alive.

I shook my head nonstop and back up. When I had bumped into the end of the land with an ocean there, I could no longer go. I did think about jumping into the ocean, but I would drown, since I don't know how to swim.

The giant smiled devilishly and was ready to grab me, but I made the loudest scream ever and pulled out the necklace on me. The force and pull of the necklace made my neck hurt, but there's no other way.

I grabbed on to the crystal and pulled it in front of me shouting, "DON'T COME NEAR ME!!!" I squealed my eyes, due to the amount of fears I had, and I don't even know if this will work.

From afar, very far way inside the forest, there was a man, watching everything that was happening. He stood there and watched it like it was a movie or a play. "Heh...How interesting." he said, chuckling. "This is only the beginning." he finishes it off, and turned into dust.

When Minako opened her eyes, she was inside her own bedroom. 'That was a dream...?' she thought, with tears in her eyes. 'But everything was so realistic.' Minako snuffed, and turned around, looking for Akihto. She wanted to call out his name, but there were bandages on her cheeks, and it is very painful to talk.

"My Lady, you're awake?" Rui said in relief and walked to her. "Finally."

Minako slightly nodded her head, and slowly lift her arm to her cheek.

"Oh, you want to know why your bandaged up like that?" he asked the obvious. Minako nodded, waiting for the reply.

"You were scratched up by the fox boy. At first it was just a little scratch, but when you got home, it was infected and it seemed like the fox boy had scratched you with poison." he said. "But don't worry, we had Akihto's friend over who was a doctor to help fix that thing up." he said, making a faint smile.

She slightly nodded my head again, remembering when Kaori had "kidnapped" her and made her faint. Even though she was unconscious, she could hear everything that was going on, especially the part when Akihto had saved her. Minako smiled sweetly to herself and looked out the window. It's nighttime now and the sky was filled with stars. Being inside this room, inside this house filled with demons, gave her a protective feeling. 'It really is a lot warmer here...'

Soon, I walked in the room and sees Minako and Rui together. "How are you feeling?" I asked her.

Minako seems happy to see me, and she nodded her head with a bright smiled. I smiled back at her and looked at my watch. "Don't worry, you'll be healed tomorrow."

Minako didn't nod her head but she was still greeting me with that smile of hers.
